01 / THE ADVENTURE

Go for the walk. Stay for the stillness.

A blue lake appears through drifting cloud. Evergreens cling to rocky slopes, and the trail ahead offers another reason to stop and look. On this guided two-day backpacking trip, the walk is part of the reward.

Move through forest shade and mountain scenery, then make room to slow down at the water's edge. Matt leads the adventure and can help you talk through the route and what to expect before you set out. The exact destination and itinerary are confirmed when you plan your trip.

02 / THE JOURNEY

A night away changes the pace.

The scenery shifts as you go: tall conifers, rocky hillsides, and, in bloom season, pockets of wildflowers. Then the lake opens up beneath the mountains. Settle in, watch the clouds move, and enjoy the kind of evening that doesn't need an itinerary full of stops.

  1. Walk into the landscape. Carry what you need over uneven mountain trail with room to pause along the way.
  2. Spend time by the water. Take in the view instead of hurrying past it.
  3. Wake up out there. A second day gives you another look at the landscape before heading back.

Daily distances, campsite arrangements, and the final route depend on the trip Matt plans with you.

03 / BEFORE YOU GO

A little effort. Plenty to remember.

This trip suits people who enjoy walking into beautiful places, not just driving past them. It is rated beginner / intermediate, but that doesn't mean effortless: expect uneven footing, uphill stretches, a backpack, and changing mountain weather. Tell Matt about your hiking and backpacking experience so you can discuss whether the planned route is a good fit.
